    I have completed my first writing course. It was really good fun. I needed this for my soul – it was literally soul-food. Something for my creativity and imagination, to be able to run free and explore. Those 6 weeks were so important for me to get a glimpse of what writing would be like, should I become seriously involved with my attempt to write a novel. Oh, I definitely am serious, but I also learned how much time I will actually have to put into it….   • Pretty Close…

    Now this is what I am talking about! I am sitting in my sunny garden. There is a pleasant breeze. I will deliberately ignore the occasional whiff of dog poo that my dog has gifted me with. And I write! This is pretty close to what I imagined. The romantic vision of what the routine of a writer would look like. I will enroll in a short writing course which starts in about two weeks.     I had an epiphany 2 weeks ago. I want to write a book. Growing up I loved reading, obviously. But I always had this romantic image of a writer sitting at a nice and clean home office with a magnificent and creativity inducing view. And those naturally gifted authors would pour their imagination and their hearts out onto the blank pages in front of them. I wished I could do that, be like them. But you needed an idea for that.
